Cleaning the Nest

What goes in, must come out - in one form or another. Shortly after having been fed, the babies do what all babies do so well, and, as always, Mom is expected to clean it up.

Luckily for Peanut, a baby canary's droppings come encased in a little membranous sac, which helps hold it together so she can more easily remove the droppings without having to worry that they will foul her nest - or her mouth!

This site is dedicated to all of those who try to help others on our journey to a better
tomorrow, and especially to Jack Merkens, whose last words to me were "Promise
me you'll keep writing about those canaries! Never stop, ok? Promise!"
Okay, Jack. I promise.
