Nineteen Days Old   Late in their eighteenth day, without fanfare or ado, both chicks left the nest for awhile and explored their cage, returning to the nest to sleep. They seem to be up extra early the next morning, vigourously demanding to be fed, well before it is fully light out. It seems that preparing for exploration is hard work too!
