An Appetite and A Half!  

Early feeding notwithstanding, these youngsters seem to always have room for more.

You may have noticed that one chick's dark feathers are lighter than the other's. A chick this colour from normal-coloured parents will always be a hen, as this is one of the sex-linked recessive colour mutations. It was originally known as 'dilute', but nowadays is known as 'agate'.
