Checking Bands I close-banded the chicks last night, as I always do at the first sign of droppings on the edge of the nest. Unfortunately, I find that somebody (probably Baby Doll) has just as carefully removed the bands from each chick's leg. Oh well! I will try again tonight, just before lights-out.
