Motivation After a few moments he climbs back into the nest. Looking around, he spots Peepity and Baby Doll eating soak seed and nestling food, and cranes his neck for a better view. I get the impression that he is beginning to think about learning to feed himself - it must seem a lot more reliable than waiting for his parents to feed him, just now! Little does he know that most bird parents use similar tactics to encourage their chicks to wean - there's nothing like personal motivation for getting results!
