Finally, Food! At long last his perserverance is rewarded, and Peepity shows up to feed - after all, he may be precocious, but he is still just a little chick! Rather than starving the chicks to make them learn to eat on their own, their parents will simply stretch the intervals between feeding, gradually lengthening them, while the chicks slowly learn more about how to fend for themselves. But that is still some days or more away yet - and meanwhile, there's feeding to do!
