The Long, Lazy Days

April 28, 2000; Even with all the other chores which need to be done, ninety-five percent of incubating eggs involves staying on them to keep them at the right temperature.   Dolly has at least eight or nine days to go, at this point.

I often wonder if my hens dream of their future babies as they drowse on the nest?
