The Nightly Stuffing
As the day moves towards evening, the feeding intensifies - these four large-and-growing-larger chicks must be stuffed as much as possible before the lights go out for the evening, and both parents work diligently towards that end.
Although they are only 9 and 10 days old, their bodies are now each almost as large as an adult bird's, and their appetite has grown right along with them - each eats about four times as much as a normal healthy adult would eat for itself...
