What's Out There? The chicks are beginning to pay more attention to what is going on outside their nest... in particular, they spend a fair bit of time looking over the edge to the bottom of the cage their nest is in, watching their parents eating. The intensive study they devote to this always makes me wonder if they are estimating how far they will have to make that first jump good for?
