Too Tight to Fit The chicks are now 18 and 17 days old now - Dolly is beginning to think of wanting to have another nest, but is unable to find the room to squeeze in. The youngsters have come up with another workable strategy to make room for everybody... they take turns being the one to sit in the middle of the nestpan, while the othr three will sit around the edge. This leaves exactly enough room for one of the parents to stand on the nest while feeding... a bit tricky, but they seem to be making it work!
