Welcome to the

Canary Cam Archives

Two By Two

In the morning of their 19th and 20th days, the lights come on to find two chicks already out of the nest. They are down on the floor of the cage, investigating that plate of food they have seen their parents spend so much time at.

Dolly immediately takes the opportunity to see if there is enough room in the nestpan to begin working on another round, but luckily has apparently decided to wait for the last two chicks to vacate first.

I don't want her building a new nest in an old dirty nestpan, so I will have to move fast once the last chick has fledged!

This site is dedicated to all of those who try to help others on our journey to a better
tomorrow, and especially to Jack Merkens, whose last words to me were "Promise
me you'll keep writing about those canaries! Never stop, ok? Promise!"
Okay, Jack. I promise.
