Daddy's On Guard

When a hen's gotta go, a hen's gotta go - a setting hen will often produce enormous droppings, since they only go around once a day or so.

On the few occasions when Dolly absolutely must leave the nest, Dan immediately assumes his role of 'guard-poppa'... 'talking' to the eggs the whole time.

Do you suppose he is telling them how he can't wait to see them hatching?

This site is dedicated to all of those who try to help others on our journey to a better
tomorrow, and especially to Jack Merkens, whose last words to me were "Promise
me you'll keep writing about those canaries! Never stop, ok? Promise!"
Okay, Jack. I promise.
