A Quick Check
As the days slowly pass, Dolly spends most of her time on the eggs, occasionally turning them carefully to ensure even incubation.
Even so, there are times when she simply must leave the nest. She will stay away for as short a time as possible, and return as fast as she can - often she is gone for less than a minute when she does leave!
Here she pauses for a moment on the edge of the nest, for a quick check that the eggs are as she left them...
