These small flights are the tallest offered in this group, and when set up correctly for smaller birds, each will make an excellent small vertical flight cage, especially when you have hens you want to see get plenty of exercise throughout the year. The included cups are too large for canaries or finches, but it is easy to remove them and use smaller more appropriate cups instead. Just be sure not to crowd the 'middle' space with too many long perches, make certain to keep any food offerings lower down in the cage, and a pair of perches near the top of the cage, and watch your hens get all the exercise they need throughout the year! |
 2490: Vertical Flight Cage 30" x 18" x 55" H |
Although shorter by 15 inches than the 2570 cage, the 2490 cages still make excellent small vertical flight cages, especially when you have hens you want to see get plenty of exercise throughout the year. Just rearrange the perches to optimize the space for your hens' use. These cages are electro-plated during welding - this method makes the coating much safer for birds than the hot-dipped or G.A. W. method of galvanizing. These cages are roomier than most breeding cages on the market, and will make a good home for a single pet too, if not divided or crowded with too many toys and perches. |

I don't recommend breeding canaries in a cage like this, as it can get a bit crowded and there's no divider, but this is a good cage for a pet - it's a little small, but will allow a little room to fly if not crowded with toys, and with the perches arranged properly.  2430 Breeding Cage w/ removeable divider 24" x 16" x 16" H |
This is the most commonly-seen size of breeding cage for canaries, 2 feet by 16 inches wide and high. It comes in black or white. When divided, each compartment is a bit small for a canary to live in for long. Without the divider, and with the perches rearranged, this makes a good pet cage, and can allow a little room to fly if not crowded with toys and perches. Stands are available as an extra, and discounts are available if you buy two or more. |
 2470 Breeding Cage (not divideable) 30" x 18" x 18" H |
This cage is an excellent shape for canaries or finches, and with the perches rearranged so that they run front-to-back on either side, rather than side-to-side as shown, will make an excellent pet cage. I don't recommend breeding canaries in a cage that is not dividable, unless you have a pair that gets along very well, but you could spend much more on some pet cages and still not have a cage as roomy as this! It comes in black or white, and stands are also available. Get discounts if you buy two or more! |
 2480 Breeding Cage (not divideable) 30" x 18" x 36" H |
This cage is tall enough to allow for some up-and-down flight, with the perches rearranged to run front-to-back on either side, instead of side-to-side as shown. While I don't recommend trying to breed in a cage that is not divideable, this kind of cage can come in very handy when weaning youngsters - it's small enough to be secure, and big enough to allow them to learn to fly. It is available in case-lots only, with two cages per case, and is available in black or white. |
