The Citril Finch, Serinus citrinella

I could find very little information about this bird, Serinus citrinella, often called the Citril Finch. Apparently it is native to Western Europe, and greatly favours old beechwoods. It is a very pretty little bird, and in this picture at least, does look rather like its close relative, the Canary.

This site is dedicated to all of those who try to help others on our journey to a better
tomorrow, and especially to Jack Merkens, whose last words to me were "Promise
me you'll keep writing about those canaries! Never stop, ok? Promise!"
Okay, Jack. I promise.
