Photos of Robirda's Gardens

(Back to Page 1)

This page starts out with a few 'over-views' of the half of the garden my plot is in; the first shows the center walkway down to the compost bins. We're the second plot to the right. The next is an angle shot of the same area, showing the (partial) old cedar hedge that divides the gardens as a whole into two large areas. That's one of our garden neighbour preparing to seed her plot, in the foreground. Once the front beds are done, they're planted and seeded, and we moved on to the area where we'll be growing some peppers and tomates. Yep, that's what the tires are for.

Behind the row of tires, there's another bed, with patches of sweetgrass, kale, and dill, but they don't show up too well yet. They're all fairly small at this stage, and the weather hasn't been helping too much! So far we've had about six times the normal amount of rainfall. It's amazing, actually - the durn stuff just keeps coming down! But occasionally it does clear up for awhile, and overall, the plants are doing much better than expected, all things considered!

This site is dedicated to all of those who try to help others on our journey to a better
tomorrow, and especially to Jack Merkens, whose last words to me were "Promise
me you'll keep writing about those canaries! Never stop, ok? Promise!"
Okay, Jack. I promise.
